Bio-Bubble
Bio-Secure-Bubble
Introduction
The Novel CORONA VIRUS (COVID - 19) has house arrested each and every department except Medical. Even the Sports also interrupts due to the pandemic situations after the II World War. This is the first time in the world the all the sports events are stopped. Then how it begins. The solution for the resumption of sports is Bio-Secure Bubble.
What is Bio-Bubble?
A bio-bubble is a safe and secure environment isolated from the outside world to minimise the risk of COVID-19 infection. It permits only authorised sports persons, support staff and match officials to enter the protected area after testing negative for COVID- 19.
The people themselves will have next to no physical contact with the outside world to minimize the risk of contracting the disease. Moreover, they will also travel from one bio-secure location to another as an isolated group. Even before entering a bio-bubble, players and staff will need to undergo COVID-19 testing and self-isolation for a fixed period of time before entering the bubble. Only if they test negative during that period, will they be allowed to enter the bubble. Should they test positive, they'll have to go through the entire process all over again.
First Bubble
England and Wales Cricket Board has successfully started their summer schedule with the help of bio bubble. The England and Wales Cricket Board's successful completion of its summer schedule inside bio-secure 'bubbles' is a blueprint for other countries to stage matches amid the COVID-19 pandemic, One-Day International (ODI) skipper Eoin Morgan said. England returned to action following the COVID- 19 stoppage in July with three Tests against the West Indies in bio-secure venues in Southampton and Manchester before matches across all three formats against Ireland, Pakistan and Australia.
Leagues
After the invention of Bio – Bubble all over the world all famous leagues are resumed with the protocols. IPL, CPL, NBA, FORMULA1, UEFA PREMIER LEAGUE these are the leagues successfully happens with the help of bio bubble. Not this leagues only there are many leagues going on under these protocols.
Empty Stadiums
The most noticeable feature of cricket’s bio-bubbles is the strange sight of empty stadiums at cricket tournaments like the England-West Indies test series, to prevent the risk of infection from and for spectators. This means even a stunning six or magical spells of tearaway fast-bowling will only be met with silence. As things stand, there are no plans for organizers to artificially stimulate spectator sounds or the familiar hum of a packed cricket stadium, so as to restore a sense of normalcy to the environment. This means if Virat Kohli smashes a quick-fire 80 of 30-odd deliveries, he will raise his bat to an empty and lifeless stadium. Going by the example set by the England-West Indies series organizers, cricket grounds will have one-way markings and set pathways so as to ensure that player movement is fluid and there is no crowding or gathering in a certain spot.
Restrictions
A key element of the bio-bubble is that players will not be permitted to have access to families, visitors, friends, and relatives for the duration of a tournament. Cricketers will not be permitted to pay a visit to family or friends, outside the team’s bio-secure environment. First such example was highlighted when England bowler Jofra Archer was dropped from the second Test because he breached the bio-security protocols. stopping at his flat while travelling from one venue to another, and had to be quarantined. Pakistan's Mohammed Hafeez broke the bubble and interacted with a family outside the bubble, and has to self-isolate for five days.
Drawbacks
Players mentally fatigue, fitness issues, alone feel like this many challenges for them into the bubble. They have so many restriction in their team or franchise bubble for everyone’s safety. Living in a bio-bubble for long has its own problems. We are calling it 'isolation mental fatigue'. It affects the mental make-up of the players.
Technology
To maintain no transmission risks, a great deal of tech on a large scale is required. IPL’s secure bio-bubble has been created by a UK-based safety and technology firm, Restrata. Its software is COVID-19 regulations compliant, comprising a trio of tech we have seen mentioned on a quotidian basis: testing, contact tracing and Artificial Intelligence. During the England versus West Indies series, Restrata had installed Bluetooth technology in stadiums to accurately track and trace any suspected COVID-19 outbreaks in real time. The company’s software helped organisers monitor people working in specific zones, and check whether they adhered to physical distancing and capacity limits norms. A similar technology is reported to be deployed for the IPL.
Contact tracing is broken down into three stages: contact identification, contact listing and contact follow-up, and recent technologies leverage Bluetooth (with a six-foot detection range) and Artificial Intelligence to automate this continuous data collection and processing, so that monitoring is detailed, seamless and in real-time. Often, wearables or an accreditation card will carry a chip-enabled GPS device to provide Restrata, IPL authorities and franchises detailed and live capability to track and trace individuals at all times.
New Rules
Restriction of Salaiva usage with the ball. Then umpire doesn’t carry bowler’s accessories. No physical celebrations while playing matches. Maintain 6 feet distance anytime. If the ball goes into the tiers then sanitise the ball then the play resumes or new ball taken. All should follow the bubble protocols strictly including all the supporting staff’s and the groundsmen.
Conclusion
This pandemic has taught many thing to us. Everything is not permanent. The way we have travelling is not going straight anytime at one point there is problem we have to face. So we have to learn how to handle the situation and back to normal. For International Cricket Resumption we get solution via Bio-Bubble like this we have to find the solution for every problem.
